Dear Faithful Readers,
“The Social Porcupine” just doesn’t quite suit what I’m trying to do here anymore. It was an obscure jab at Libertarians — a group I have little interest in anymore, nor even as a snark. Honestly, now that I am married I have little interest in Politics anymore.
I will mostly be writing about femininity and religion, and so this place will be called Polite Company. The conversation might turn peculiar at times, but I hope that through it all we can all deepen our perspectives to become more charitable toward others. I will continue to write positively about cults, share about my conversion into Catholicism, and infuse wholesomeness into the discourse about Traditional Femininity.
The web address is livingroomconversations.substack.com though because 1) polite company was already taken as a Substack domain name, and 2) it’s a nice reference to The Living Room Academy, a vision that I won’t to sit on the back burner for much longer.
The Manners and Morals column, if the emails in my inbox are to count for anything, promises to become a staple here. The first of the answers will post this evening. I will also be sharing our wedding story mid-next week — I wrote it June but just received our photos. I am excited to share them with you all!

After that I have many posts scheduled, including “Why I Married a Catholic”, “Misconceptions I’ve had About Catholicism”, “On Shaving, Porn, and Anorexia”, “Why I’m not Judgmental,” and a sweet piece on how liberals and conservatives might find middle ground because we both love trees and children if we’re honest. This is the tip of the iceberg. I honestly have so much to share, and much of it already written, I don’t know if I’ll be able to leave this nook of the internet for some time to come.
I pray this pleases you.
I also have an article that just posted with the European Conservative. It is a review of the book “They Flew: A History of the Impossible” and is largely responsible for my falling in love with Catholicism. It is about mysticism, levitation, and how a book about saints changed a Protestant girl’s heart.
I have ordered the first copies of my Grampa’s book from the publisher — I hope they will arrive soon, and that I will be able to send copies out to everyone who has asked for them, and to make the rest available for purchase.
Other than that, I remind you to share the Tapiocans with your favorite middle-grader. It’s a fictional series I’ve been sharing one installment at a time once a month about a group of church-camp kids.
I’ll leave you with one of my most recent knitted designs — all wool! I’ve been making quite a bit of these sorts of garments to sell and to give to friends, and to keep in my hope-chest for when I might hopefully one day need them myself!

Reach out to me if you have any questions!
I was just recently thinking, "Hmm, I wonder if Keturah is still into the libertarian cause." I love the new name and wish you the best in all the exciting future projects!
Oh, and your sweet hope-chest baby clothes are inspire me, even though I am not married and only recently took up knitting, I now want to make wool baby dresses and overalls!
This is wonderful news! I can't wait to read your upcoming posts! And the little knitted baby dress, my heart 🥹
