My takeaway from this is our ultimate responsibility to grow trust and tenderness with those we cross paths with on this earth. And that the special sacredness we feel with our specific friends is not so much due to our interacting with them well, but rather, to the fact these are the very ones we happened to meet on our journey at all. Haha, I think I mostly agree with you on "boundaries," which are supposed to be about self-control. It's funny, though, the only times I can recall others bringing up that word in conversation with me, they treated it as a tool to shame and control me, instead!

I saw your comment just now! But yes, same. It's only ever been used in that way toward me, too. Whenever I've felt the need to set boundaries with someone, I've never had to use that word, and have often been able to do it through body language. It doesn't get so dramatic that way.
