and thanks for the clue as to "christian anarchy." I have close friends who call themselves that, and your article got me to do a little reading. I never understood why the ultra simple teachings of Jesus and the fact (but face is good too) of the Holy Spirit that he introduced into awareness require megachurches, governments, legal mandates, massive books of theology, or anything like that. Personally I am Quaker, probably the simplest of the Christian faiths, and I think it could be even simpler.
You should check out the (excommunicated) Catholic philosopher Ivan Illich’s great book “Gender”. Actually from your beliefs I’m thinking you might already be familiar with him?
He was quite a famous figure in the 1970s and was been very influential in a lot of hippie-type circles on both the left and right (e.g. his thoughts in 'Unschooling Society' impacted the early homeschooling movement). He lost influence after the "Gender" book which was seen as taking on feminism. I believe you would find his thinking very congenial and provocative -- here is a link to a thoughtful review of his life and thought from First Things: https://www.firstthings.com/article/2022/02/the-genius-of-ivan-illich
Wow what a great lead paragraph....fanTAStic writing, Keturah.

As much as the prevailing winds of “culture” would like to alter it, traditional roles still prevail. They can’t change human nature.
Very true! Though their attempts at homogenized culture is showing some stark results
